Only patch the siblings the qa job actually checks out
cargo loads every [patch.crates-io] path whether or not the patch is used, so naming a crate that was not cloned fails resolution with "failed to load source for dependency freemkv-i18n" — which reads like a missing dependency rather than the workflow bug it is. The generated stanza listed all four libraries for every crate that needs patching, while each job only checks out the siblings it actually depends on. freemkv-keysources, freemkv-engine and bdemu therefore could not resolve at all; freemkv and autorip happened to be fine because they check out all four. Caught by the qa gate on its first run, which is the gate working.
